Ingredients

  • 110g chorizo sliced
  • 500g minced beef
  • ½ tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 15ml tablespoon tomato paste / puree
  • 400g can of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 400g can of kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • sea salt flakes (to taste)
  • freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • chopped fresh coriander to serve (optional)

Method

  1. Fry chorizo in a large saucepan for a few mins.
  2. Add the mince, fry until broken up.
  3. Add the cocoa, oregano, and tomato paste and tinned tomatoes, stir well.
  4. Add the Worcestershire sauce and kidney beans.
  5. Turn the heat down low, and let the chilli simmer gently for 20 minutes.
  6. Season and serve immediately with fresh coriander.
